What drew you to a career at Cyara originally and how has the company changed since you joined us?
I noticed that Cyara genuinely had a use case wherein they wanted to utilize the data they have and create value. Even since I joined Cyara, I observed that the immediate team as well as the Cyara leadership as a whole is working towards the goal they had before hiring me. This makes me feel that Cyara is serious about their growth and dedicated towards their customers, employees and stakeholders. This also makes me feel valued because I know that my work is contributing towards the growth of the company.
What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
I usually start my day with a mini planning session with some coffee before the standup. After the standup, I connect with my immediate team members to resolve any issues so that everyone is on the same page and unblocked from any dependencies. I always try to keep these meetings in continuation so that i have a separate time blocked for meetings and deep focus work. We always try to have some discovery sessions wherein we explore any new implementations which can benefit Cyara.
Tell us about your work life harmony at Cyara?
Being at Cyara gives me a sense of freedom. I don’t feel that my work is restricting me from spending time with my family or myself. I’ve observed that people at Cyara are transparent and respect each other’s time and efforts. Thinking about this alone makes me realize that it’s a quality which is scarce and assures me that my time is respected among my peers, eventually bringing harmony in my relationship with work.
Describe your current role at Cyara
I’m a Data Engineer so this means I work with my team looking after the infrastructure responsible for data flow, data management and utilizing the data to drive insights. We continuously try to make sure that we can support our team members and customers by providing them insights/data points using the data infrastructure so that their decisions are backed by data driven insights and not just gut feeling. This makes our end users confident about their decision-making experience. We’re also responsible for making sure that any sort of data/trend exploration in the data infrastructure is hassle free and result driven.
How would you describe the culture at Cyara?
The culture at Cyara is very transparent, honest and supportive. Cyara has an exceptional rapport among people who have ever worked with Cyara. Their Glassdoor reviews is a good indicator of their transparency and great work culture.
What has been the most empowering moment in your Cyara career journey?
My most empowering moment was when our team requested the leadership to put more focus on certain aspects of our workflow and the leadership responded with positive dialogue and action. This made me believe that everyone in the organization is on the same page and everyone is working towards the same goal.
What are you passionate about in your role?
I’m passionate about my current role because we get to build infrastructure for people working in the data field within the organization. We get to build meaningful functionalities which help people within and outside the organization. This means we can empower people by providing them with value, driven by data. This kind of work-to-impact translation is very important for me and it gives purpose to the work and efforts I’m putting in.
How does Cyara help support your sense of purpose in your career?
Cyara helps by directly translating my efforts into meaningful output. Any concerns within the team are heard and acted upon by the respective team members. We get to build impact-driven functionalities which directly translate into real world applications. This gives me a sense of purpose, any effort I put into work has a positive impact on our growth, and anyone connected with Cyara be it a customer relationship or employee-employer relationship.
What have you gained from working at Cyara from a career perspective?
More responsibility means more fun, not the other way around.
Exploring a new problem followed by a healthy discussion can save you more time during the actual implementation and will translate into a better solution than a mediocre one

How has Cyara’s global approach to diversity helped you in your career so far?
I got the opportunity to work with Cyara – despite Cyara being based out of Australia – because of Cyara’s global approach. This meant that I got the opportunity to work with the amazing people at Cyara despite the location constraint. Cyara’s global approach meant more flexibility, exposure and participation for me which is very important for me from a career perspective.
