Cyara has been a pivotal and defining shift in my career. Truly, I am doing what I love at a company that is customer obsessed. The amount of trust from the leadership and the peer-to-peer accountability ingrained in Cyara’s culture, gives you the space to balance work and life in the way that works best for me and my family.

What drew you to a career at Cyara originally and how has the company changed since you joined us? 

I have spent the bulk of my career in tech/software and have worked in both early stage and mature stage start-up environments. Cyara offered a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing mid-stage company that had a clear vision for growth, a solid footing in their category and quality talent and leadership at the helm steering Cyara towards its vision. Just over a year ago, a former manager approached me and promised me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—and she was absolutely right. There is a clear vision in mind, that we are all flying in formation towards—a very exciting first year!

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on? 

I spend a lot of my day collaborating with members of our sales and marketing teams in the Americas, APAC & EMEA regions to ensure that our field has the customer insights, messaging, and proof points they need to be successful in their day-to-day customer interactions. I also collaborate with our product team in Australia, on our product roadmap, gathering customer insights and refining the story behind how our solutions deliver the value we promise.

Tell us about your work life harmony at Cyara?

Working remotely has offered me the flexibility I need to balance my family/personal commitments, along with work commitments. I’m part of the sandwich generation where I must balance time between my children and their needs, as well as my parents who are aging. Cyara is very understanding that “life” happens, and everyone has a unique situation they are balancing at home. The amount of trust from the leadership and the peer-to-peer accountability ingrained in the culture, gives you the space to balance work and life in the way that works best for me and my family.

Describe your current role at Cyara

As the Director of Product Marketing, my team and I are responsible for articulating the value proposition of Cyara’s offerings and solutions through pricing, packaging, and positioning. We then work closely with our Content & Creative team to create meaningful assets and content that clearly demonstrates that value. We support our Field Sales organization by ensuring they have the customer insights, and value story they need, to have a meaningful conversation with prospective customers that we hope will turn them into Cyara customers.

How would you describe the culture at Cyara?

Cyara stands by its values day in and day out. Customer obsession, teamwork, quality, innovation, and humility serve as the backbone of how everyone works together and individually. Cyara walks the talk. Our internal recognition tool allows us to recognize our peers in the moment and highlight these very values as represented through their hard work. There’s nothing better than getting recognized by your peers for being helpful, innovative, humble, and having an impact.

What has been the most empowering moment in your Cyara career journey?

I had been at Cyara for about 4 months and had observed some opportunities for improvements in process and decision making. With the trust of my leaders, I dove in and volunteered to facilitate a workshop at our first in-person cross functional offsite. I had no idea how it would be received, but everyone was so open and willingly engaged. We were collaborating, solving problems together and everyone had a voice in proposing solutions. Not only does this speak well of our culture, but it was a defining moment for me in feeling empowered to facilitate change at Cyara.

What are you passionate about in your role?

I am most passionate about serving as a strong, and facilitative leader for my team. I work alongside very talented marketeers, who bring 110% to Cyara every single day. The privilege of coaching and mentoring my direct reports is the most satisfying part of my responsibilities—that is to help them realize their untapped potential, to lean heavily into their strengths, and challenge themselves with development goals. Being a champion for my team is hands-down the most rewarding part of my role.

Cyara has been a pivotal and defining shift in my career. Truly, I am doing what I love at a company that is customer obsessed. We are helping organizations deliver excellence for their customers, and we actively invest in building goodwill and doing right by our customers. Our mission is delivering customer smiles across planet earth, and we are obsessed by it.

What have you gained from working at Cyara from a career perspective?

I feel so valued and empowered to lean in and bring my voice to the table every day. We are encouraged to ask questions, share our opinions, to push boundaries and try new things; all within an environment that embraces successes and learning moments.

How has Cyara’s global approach to diversity helped you in your career so far?

Diversity is celebrated and is the fabric of our culture at Cyara. We work across 3 major geographic regions, alongside talent from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. It has helped me appreciate regional nuances, and how to bring a more global perspective to the decisions we make on a day-to-day basis.
